FAMILY ADVENTURE CAMPING AND TRAINING

Dates: The arrangement has been made to accommodate 40 families at base camp on following dates 11, 16, 21, 26, 31 Dec 2019 , 5 Jan 2020. Duration of the camp for each family is 4 nights and 5 days

 How to Participate:-The members desirous of joining the programme may apply on a prescribed Registration Form. Form should be sent along with draft of participation fee. Each family shall report at the Base camp on the allotted reporting date.

How to reach Base Camp: - The base camp is located at Sports Authority Ground, Near Miramar Beach, Panaji Goa. The nearest railway stations are Thivim (25Kms), Karmali (12 km) and Margao (33km) State bus service is available. Direct bus service is also available from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore & Mangalore. Direct trains are available from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and major cities of India.

Accommodation: - One tent at base camp shall be given to each family. Mattress, 2 pillow & blankets shall be provided

Food: - Morning tea, breakfast, lunch / packed lunch, evening tea and Dinner shall be provided. Simple vegetarian, good quality nutritious food shall be served at the camp. Please bring your own plates, mugs, spoons, tiffin box for pack lunch etc.

Fees:- Rs.7000/- per family consisting of husband, wife and 2 children upto age of 12 years (YHAI membership compulsory) The fees will cover stay in tented accommodation, nutritious vegetarian meals and one day picnic and one day Goa darshan organised for families. Participants will bear to and fro travel expenses from their home to the base camp. Payment of fees by Demand Draft OR at par payable cheque only in favour of "NATIONAL TREKKING EXPEDITION GOA" payable at Panaji, Goa. .

Cancellation:- In case you are unable to join the trek after paying the participation fee, you will get a refund of 50% of program fee - provided your request is received directly in the office of Goa State Branch (not by email) before 25th November 2019. No refund will however, be admissible if such notice is received after 25th November, 2019. The participants must give their bank details like Name of bank and account holder, Branch IFS code at the time of cancellation to receive their refund on time

What you should bring:- Cotton clothes, sun cap, water bottle, lunch box, enameled or steel mug or tumbler, plate, spoon, soap, toilet paper, towel, medicines (which you normally use at home).

Attention:- This is an  environment friendly camp. Do not litter any wrapper or spoil the camp in any way. Please ensure eco-friendliness. The participants should also note that Family Camping is held along with National Trekking Expedition and the families should strictly follow YHAI discipline.

USE OF ALCOHOL AND NARCOTICS OF ANY DESCRIPTION ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED DURING THE COURSE OF THE PROGRAMME.

Sight Seeing Tours:-

As most of you must be aware Goa has attained a place of pride on the International Tourist Circuit. Goa is one of India’s most laid-back yet sophisticated and exciting destinations. Goa offers miles and miles of sunny beaches, well preserved churches, temples and forts, lush green forests, abundant wild life, spectacular pageantry, colourful festivals, warm and gracious people, superb cuisine. There is so much to see - and you feel there’s too little time. A  visit to Goa is incomplete without North & South Goa sightseeing and river cruise on River Mandovi. Over the years we have observed that the campers find it difficult to go for sight-seeing & river cruise as Dec - Jan is the peak season and getting tour booking is difficult. Moreover 2 days are required as North & South Goa tours are conducted separately. Needless to say that the price paid for these tours is also high. Keeping in mind requirement of our campers and in association with Goa Tourism Development Corporation ( A Govt. of Goa Undertaking) we have worked a combine North & South Goa tour, the cost of which has been included in the fees paid whereas participants will have to pay for the River Cruise.

Goa Darshan (North and South combine) Dep.:8.30 AM - Arr. 6.30 PM          

South: Covers world heritage Old Goa churches Basilica of Bom Jesus,Se Cathedral, temples Shree Mangesh at Mangeshi and Shri Shantadurga at Kavle. Beaches of Vagator, Calangute and Aguada Fort. Participants will have to carry their pack lunch from the base camp.

River Cruise Dep. 6.00 PM - 1 hour -

At sunset on board of Cruiser Santa Monica in the waters of Mandovi river along the beautiful promenade of Panaji leading into Arabian sea at Miramar beach. Fun and  merriment await to refresh you in the form of music and dance on the decks of the luxury cruiser. Let your hair down and step to the mesmerizing tunes of Goan culture. Enjoy Goan cultural show with music and plenty of entertainment on board.
